Credit check for job, but not on electoral roll

Hi there
My partner has an interview on the 1st of November for a position in a bank.I know he has to have a credit check if he has a successful interview, but he has not long moved in here and I realised I haven't sent the electoral roll form away. I have literally just filled it out and will get it sent off today, but I am aware that his electoral roll info on his credit report probably won't be updated in time. Will this affect the credit check for a job? Especially if he has plenty of proof otherwise he lives here. Should he mention this to them in the interview so they can expect this?
The only other thing is he has 2 student overdrafts (he only graduated in June), which are kind of at a stalemate (he does pay into them each month but this tends to be swallowed up by interest) until he gets a job. Will this be an issue and should he offer up this information even if he isn't asked?
Thanks for reading

I doubt this will be an issue. When a financial or security institution does a credit check on a potential employee, they're generally checking that you're not in such financial dire straits that you could be tempted to commit fraud or vulnerable to corruption. They'd be looking for bankruptcy and CCJs and that type of thing. They don't need you to have a brilliant credit rating.
With regards to being on the electoral register, that's not mandatory and isn't the type of thing a banking firm will be checking for.0
