Using a tagine on an electric hob?

Morning folks
I'm sure this has been covered before but unfortunately the search function doesn't seem to be working this morning!
I have a stoneware tagine and a heat diffuser that I've used many times on a gas hob with no problems.
We now have an electric hob (it came with the house and will be replaced as soon as I can afford a new cooker
) which I just can't get used to and I haven't been brave enough to use the tagine. But we have a friend coming tonight and I really want to serve up a Moroccan feast
Does anyone know if it's ok to use stoneware and a heat diffuser on a ceramic hob? I really don't want to end up cracking it...

Why not use it in the oven? That's what I do.Val.0

I wouldn't risk it either. As Valk_Scot says use it in the oven to be on the safe side.

It would probably be very expensive to run the oven for that length of time though? Perhaps I'll just use the slow cooker and leave the tagine on the shelf until I have a gas hob again.0
