Now that they are online entry do people still enter via text/phone instead?? You can only enter these once, by either method, I believe.

I only enter online if that's any help? I guess it would be down to whoever does the postal/text entry to speak up as i would guess most people would do the free option of online?

hi, tbh i enter all ways, they started off as text/postal & have always been posted in there first & when they went online they started getting linked to the puzzle tab thread
you can enter all ways as long as it's a separate name/address, ie:
i enter online, i send the ef in for my sis & sil texts them in,
it's up to you as you'd be the one posting in both places, but, i for one would be very grateful if they were kept as they are now,
ie: postal/text & then linked to the puzzle tab thread for anyone who just enters online x

I think, as long as it's ok with you, to keep them as they are (in both threads). Some people enter things differently, if I did, I would like the options there.

I enter them online - always choose the cheapest route

For the previous issue, 61 people thanked on the postal thread and 726 on the online thread.

The Mini-mags (except for the "new" Arrowwords Lite - which you know well) were originally postal/text/phone only and only recently did they introduce online entry. ALL the other (non-mini) mags also have post/text/phone entry but are only posted in the online thread without the postal/text/phone details. I am not aware of any other comps posted in the postal/text/phone thread that are also posted on the main board.

I suggest you post the next issue in both threads but mention in your postals/text post that in future you will only post in the online thread and ask if this causes any problems for anyone.

hi one-eye, thanks for the suggestion, afaik quite a few peeps go into the postal/texts thread especially for these mags which as we've said they used to be postal/text only,
the thanks doesn't always show the true hits of peeps entering from these threads, i've had pm's from peeps who've entered lots of postal/text comps (when i used to post them)but haven't 'thanked' which is thier choice & maybe have a personel/wish to be discreet reason for which is none of anyone's business
there are also posts that are posted in the postal/texts thread
actually thanking the ops in posts where they've won from one of these comps & in the thread, sometimes peeps don't always post thier wins in IWIW preferring to post them in the postal thread, some peeps just visit the postal/text thread for that thread only & don't venture into the main online threads (i have a few friends on here who only do the p/t threads (through thier own choice) & tbh i think it's a bit unfair to be asking peeps to have to enter online if they don't wish to,
or be asked to be expected to follow the online thread if they don't wish/want to just to get the text/phone entry,
hopefully this forum is about giving everyone a choice of how they wish to enter

Ditto to the post above, I post the Mini Sudoku and in view of the views expressed here will continue to post in both threads giving people the choice.
