free mint growing kit for schools/clubs etc

Options
hi

planet science are giving away making a mint growing kits and entry into a comp that wins garden vouchers. they've had a pretty poor uptake so far, which I find astounding as it's a great little activity.
it's for schools, youth clubs nurseries and similar. a great little number!

Anyone else actually going to do this?

I've got the seeds and a working party of 6 x 10/11 year olds ready to go so thought I better do some research. It all seems very vague to me, no closing date so it makes it all rather difficult to plan and judge.

We were hoping to sow next week and take advantage of the school fete on 16 June to sell plants but now I think this is probably too short a timescale -but then we have the summer hols so it will spill over into next year by which time, working party will have moved on to secondary schools:confused:

I will read through all the bumff and see if i'll do it as an entry or just do it to grow.

Offer ended, only the competition available now.

On the Rocket Garden subject, I passed the details onto our school gardener who spoke to a rep there, she was very impressed with the setup and will be going forward with it in September. It was on the charities board originally I think.
