£500 in a fortnight!

Hi all,

I have the chance to order my children's 2 main Xmas presents for about £300 cheaper than market value :) But I have to order and pay for them by October 31st. I need to save £500 between now and then!!
I think this is achievable providing I live frugally - very very frugally!
Does anybody have any hints, tips, meal plans etc. to help me out please?
I'd greatly appreciate it :)
Many thanks in advance

Do an inventory of freezer and cupboards and eat from them as much as possible - run them right down if necessary

Do you have anything you can sell - music magpie for old CD's, probably too short a time frame for ebay but is there a car boot you could do?

I agree do a list and meal plan of what you have in, take up any offers of dinner/play dates now so kids get fed free and you can return the favor after.

Ebay anything that hasn't been used in the last year, any stained or worn out clothes bag up and take to cash for clothes.

    Sell any broken jewlery.

Sell larger items on gumtree/facebook as there is no fee's.

The most frugal thing you could go is think long and hard about weather or not your kids acually need £800 xmas presents, also be careful with that amount of money unless it's a reputable shop, if it's looks too good to be true it usually is.
