Oh no, sorry..that's my fault :)

The tables were like the chairs - all transparent and lighty-uppy.

We did have a few normal ones for the old folks, but they were much cheaper :)

Every time you post about your wedding it makes me so desperate to see pics! :D

I would go with the carpet aswell incase it rains you dont want soggy floor. The way we are doing it is to hire marquee, flooring and lineings and then save money in other places where we can ie the furnitue etc.

Could you not have the matting that is cheaper? And no dance floor just an open area of carpet to dance in?
  • Hi, this is my first posting on here so please be gentle. Running a marquee company myself I know that costs for weddings can get out of hand. Firstly the chair and table costs are about right at £2 and £5 per item, however try the local church hall they may lend you trestle tables and chairs for a small donation. The flooring can be created by using pallets (borrowed from local haulage company) with a 3mm board over the top and then exhibition carpet which is about £2 m2 or just put the board directly on the grass and gaffer tape the joints and then lay carpet over the top. I hope this helps.
