Saving, Spending (a little) and DEBTBUSTING!

I have been an MSEer for quite a while under a different User name but have decided to come back new and improved.

I still have debt but nowhere near as much as I had in August 2008 when I had my LBM.

I have decided to learn to live a little while saving and DEBTBUSTING so this will be my diary of musings.

Today I finally heeded the call of :money: and switched energy provider from BG to Scot Power so saved £135 there.

I have made a spreadsheet of items that are usually on my shopping list and as I spend quite a lot of time with my lap-top I can up date my shopping list as things run out. Then print it off the evening before shopping.
I'm hoping this will bring down my grocery bill together with meal planning.

Feeling in control as although my last 2 diary attempts went by the wayside I have still been MSE just not as much as I could.
I'm hoping this diary will encourage me to be organised and in turn save more money.

Must try and pop on here every day with an up date to keep the motivation going :D

Today I am printing off my 'Shopping List Spreadsheet' to use when I go shopping later. This will hopefully reduce shopping time, reduce spending and reduce waste.

  • Morning Bubbly,

    Happy new diary x
  • SLS (shopping list spreadsheet) worked a dream.
I now have meals organised, it cost less money and I will only need milk in the week :)

Got a letter from Nati*onwide informing be of the balance of an account I forgot I had. There is only £2.68 in it but it would be better off coming off a debt so next time I am in town I shall close that account down.

So what have I done this week that has been MSE?

Used the SLS again this week and it reduced my shopping bill this week and I remembered everything :j

Changed some Nect*r points into Am*zon vouchers towards Christmas presents :j

Set up DD's for the minimum payment on the CC's so I know they are always paid and then I can make over payments with what's left :j

So all in all a good week.

    November's aims:

    Finish Christmas gift shopping.
Inform everyone that I am not sending cards this year but will make a Charity Donation instead.
Bring down the grocery shopping more by using the SLS.

    Have a great weekend :)
