If you are looking for mainstream/chart stuff, the likes of Amazon.co.uk and Play.co.uk are good bets. If you are looking outside of that check out emusic.com; not to everyone's tastes but often cheaper than the main retailers and with some free downloads when you sign up for a trial.
  • Thanks for the gen folks. Just signed up with Amazon and 7digital.

Can somebody give me easy tutorial to convert CD to MP3 files ????

Assuming you are on a PC, all you usually need to do is insert the CD and you will get asked what you want to do - simply select Rip.

A couple of quick notes for Windows Media Player:

In Media Player, from the top menu select Tools then Options. Click on the Rip Music tab and change the format to MP3. Click OK to confirm the changes. This will mean all music copied from CD will be in MP3 format.

When you have a CD in the drive, you simply need to click on the Rip option then Start to begin copying from CD to your PC. If you are connected to the internet it should fill in all the track details for you.
  • Thanks erasion,

I am still with WMP 9 and it makes the files in WMA. The sound quality is not that good in my MP3.

Guess i'll have move to WMP 11 :)

Tunetribe are also another decent MP3 site, limited more to the top 40 and current stuff but they do have a few odds and ends there.

HMV is another and if you go to the MSE MP3 price checker (top screen, shopping/music) there are a few more sites they have mentioned which are all safe.
