Hi all,
I have recently found out I am pregnant, but as with any life changing event I am worried about finances!
I have a Debt Management Plan with the CCCS and was wondering how this would change?
This is out first child and my husband isnt on a very high income.... So would my creditors allow a reduction in payments to allow me to buy items in preparation for our arrival?
Advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation would be very welcome
Thank you

Congratulations!
I'm afraid my dmp started after I had my children, so can't really help. I'd ring up and speak to them - see what they say.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Thank you everyone!
I rang the CCCS for advice (I was worrying far too much for this so early), and they were very helpful! They suggested calling up about 3-4 months before I'm due and then putting the costs onto my "sundries".... The advisor I spoke to rightly said that noone would see my baby sleeping in a drawer

I'm sure you'll find loads of great advice re keeping costs down when it comes to baby things on MSE too!
I cringe when I think back to how much we needlessly spent on baby 'stuff', most of it money down the drain!0
