Would this benefit me in the long run
Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Warehousing and Storage
Knowledge Certificate
Key/Functional Skills Level 1 in English, Mathematics and ICT
Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook
(Work based learning) if I'm thinking of good pay in the business or would it best to choose some other type of Apprenticeship ?

Are you currently working in the industry or is this a position you are applying for?
The qualifications in Warehousing & Storage and Logistics generally have changed recently so that there is no longer a seperate taught element (BTEC for example), they are combined into one taught and assessed qualification.0 -
I've never worked in a warehouse before it's a position I'm applying for but I'm not sure if it would benefit me if I'm thinking long term career prospects like finding a job and good pay which is one of my main priority's. I'm pretty new to this type of work.0

As a new job I would suggest it would be ideal as the training would be formal and structured. There are clear progression routes into further training or more senior positions after time served. In the longer term it may be superseeded by other qualifications but the functional skills will be invaluable. My personal opinion would be to go for it and enjoy it but for independant advice, contact your local Next Step advisor (google them) as they are very good for careers & training advice.0

The main thing you need for most warehouse work is your forklift tickets, the rest is pretty straightforward. You can get a full set in a couple of weeks for under a grand. Counterbalance is easy. Bendi and Reach are the tricky ones, but more in demand as businesses try and squeeze more into their warehouses.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
