Having read this thread I don't supopose anyone would be willing to let me know whether they have seen any deals for Calgon?
I rue the day I saw them on the shelf at the 99p shop and left them there (we are going back 11 years though, well before my MSE conversion).

I use a large tablespoon of soda crystals in each wash, and have done since I bought it 2 years ago, but who can tell if it helps. I live in a very hard water area and my old machine was 6 years old when I gave it away on freecycle and it was working perfectly well (needed a dryer) and didn't use anything...0
