Good morning everyone ,
I had a letter yesterday to confirm that my property will be changed from an E to a D valuation - this states it will go back to 1993 which is a good result . Is there still no facility to claim interest on the amount concerned ? ,
thanks

CT legislation makes no reference to any right to interest on refund of overpaid CT, so councils will not pay any interest. In fact if they did, they would be criticised by their auditors for unnecessary expenditure. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
