AVG free old version/Can't remove

I am trying to uninstall AVG 7 but when I click on uninstall I just get a window saying that it can't run. Does anyone know how I can make it uninstall. In an earlier post I did ask about the new free AVG 7.5 which would not run but I have managed to uninstall that one. It's just this older version that won't go away.

Hi Jake'sGran,

I don't know what OS you are using or how computer savvy you are but here are two suggestions you can try to uninstall AVG

1. Use the Windows Add/Remove interface.

2. Boot into Safe mode and try the way you first tried, using the AVG Uninstall button. If that doesn't work try using the Windows Add/Remove.
