Currently in the process of filling out an application form for Phones 4u. There is a part of it that says they will complete a personal credit check. Does anyone know why and which CRA they use for this purpose?

Hi Adam
I currently work for Phones4u (use to do credit checks in their HR Department many moons ago)
They only check that you don't have any ccj's, and if you do that they are paid off. If you do have outstanding ccj's they wouldn't be able to employ you unfortunately.
They however only do a credit check when you have passed your interview and accepted the job, just before you are about to start.
What position are you applying for?0 -
I have the (unfortunate) luck of knowing someone who works for P4U and has an absolutely horrendous credit record and still got a sales job with them in one of their branches ...
(The 'unfortunate' bit is the fact that I know them not that they work for P4U ...

I used to work for P4U, it was a few years ago doing credit checking and address verifications. This was when we were permantley online with equifax and just before they started using decsion navigator.
I had access to loads & loads of personal info and stuff, i can only imagine what the wrong type of person in that role could do.....0
