My Debt Story

Hi
I'm not debt free yet, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
About 4 years ago I was 21 and £19k in debt.
The debt consisted of.....
Car loan(Halifax, debt taken over by Blair Oliver & Scott) £5000
Virgin Credit Card £4500
Barclays Credit Card £4500
Sigma Credit Card £2500
Halifax One Credit Card £2500
Burton Card £100
4 years and a few months later I owe just under 2k in total
Paying back £407 per month so should only be a couple months to go.
Bad news is I'm actaully in my overdraft by £800, and I have a Card not included with CCCS at £500, although it's well undercontrol with minimum payments only about £5.
Still I should not have too long to go before I make it debt free.
I owe all my thanks to CCCS, they were fantastic and really got me on the right track, it's because of CCCS I have cleared 17K of debt in 4 years.
(I only earn 16K per year)
Anyway if anyone has questions about the creditors I have dealt with or CCCS I'm in a good position to offer any help I can.

I am with CCCS as well and agree they have been wonderful at sorting out the mess I got myself into.
Do you remember when you signed up to them though? the reason i am asking is, you agreed at the time of signing that you would not take out any more credit, and you are not allowed to have an overdraft. I would get that sorted out very quickly before they stop your plan for not abiding by the rules.
Also if you are in an overdraft and have a card with that amount of debt on, then you clearly have not learned your lesson to stick to a budget.
Sorry to bring negative news, but thought you ought to know.

Yeah it does look that way, If CCCS do find out and end my aggreement I owe that little now I can complete the plan myself, and still thank them for all they have done.
I have had the overdraft and side credit for about 3 years, and it's not escalted any worse during those 3 years, I'm fully confident I will be in the clear for april.
I intend to then request my bank remove my overdraft completly and hopefull get some savings behind me.CC1 - Owed £4500 ( Now owe £0)
