Can anyone help/? 10 week contract, payed hourly, but it breaks for christmas. Can I claim JSA over the christmas holidays? Its in a college.
We are already going to be out of pocket me taking this job (yes, worse off working) so 2 weeks with out pay at christmas is going to be the death of us.

It depends if your actively seeking work. If its just a holiday I doubt it as your not looking for work.0

Hi, I very much doubt that you could as you will have a job. This would be the same as people who go on holiday for 2 weeks a year.0

yes mate, but claim straight away as the first 3 days of a claim are not counted, you just need to look for work to be entitled, also that any money paid to you from work is not to cover the Christmas break.
Also housing benefit too.0
