im after some varnish (preferably spray) to put a finish on some christmas placemats im making.
can anyone reccomend a cheap but effective varnish to use?
if it helps its to go on the cork bottomed, laminated (but will be sanded down and spray painted) topped place mats

i would love to see your finished project.. i'm going to be giving placemats a try this weekend. I am going to use old tiles and stick images onto them and then spray them with varnish :j0
