Self Employed and Employed: Handling Tax

I was wondering what I should do about a self employed job.

Basically I work full time but around my work I am doing a one-off job for someone (doing some filming for someone). After I have done the few days a month for them I have to invoice to them how much I have worked and they will pay me.

Do I need to sign up for self employed for this one job?

I will wait until they pay me to see if they pay tax as part of it, but if not what should I do?

Thank you :)

  • Go to the 'up your income' board and read the Mystery Shopping thread - all the tax info is on there. And yes, you will need to register and pay tax on it.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
