MLM as a model is sound but, like almost anything, it can be mis-used.
"Exercise systematic doubt" is a good phrase.
No published research by any reliable source.
Sounds like Snake Oil.
Some swear by Homeopathy.

Tried this product for (after major surgery) for 6 months now and am pleased to have found it beneficial. However, I was nearly put off by the American style sell on their website and the obvious pyramid selling aspect they employ. Have already had blips with the regularity of auto-ship orders and when I rang to check and get the problems sorted out have always been treated politely by friendly operators who didn't always sort out the problem and blame it on computer problems! All in all the Company seems completely disorganised and I have to ask the question "would I really want to work with such poor administration?" For me the answer has to be a resounding NO and I would urge Simply Naturals to get their act together? Such a shame because their products are excellent.0

The definition of an entrepreneur is "risk taker". With this opportunity I see no negatives in trying. It is not like there is £1000's to invest is there? Forget recruiting ok and get out and sell the product and use marketing feedback from your customers as to if the product is "performing" or not....THEN make a decision as a businessperson0

Ok so I'm the sucker.. I fell for this through someone I trusted and having splashed out £167.99 for the distributorship I got no notification of payment or any acknowledgement that I had joined Simply Naturals. After 3 days my friend gave me the name of her line leader who said he would look into it.
Since joining the company on 20 June, I have yet to have any communication or advise from a leader or trainer other than the ambiguous telephone conversations with my friends line manager whom I contacted and was advised that the system “will get better”! Unfortunately to date I have yet to see any improvements and consequently I feel I am wasting my time and wasted my money.
• I received no confirmation of my original payment or introduction to the company when I joined.
• The training kit was sent out three weeks after joining and consisted of a 47 page training manual, two CD’s and two A5 envelopes of Sizzling Mineral samples (reduced strength)
• The training kit arrived with an undated, unprofessional poorly photostatted letter stating BOOK YOUR PLACE ON GETTING STARTED TRAINING. Since joining the only training on the website is obsolete and has not been changed or even updated on the site! I have tried going through the training site but that to for the most part is out dated and difficult to follow as much of the information leads to non-existent pages or outdated information!
I have written to the company with my grievances and we will see whether or not I get a refund...
Guess what - no joy. They want the kit and samples returned un-opened! Unfortunately if you follow their procedure you have to write letters to 50 contacts with the samples and ask them to review it! The next is to contact these folk and try sell them the distributorship. I could not help but ask myself why would I want to put anyone I know through what I've been through?? Embarrassing but I have to admit I got ripped-off. Hopefully if you're reading this I will save you the money and time.. At least I would have achieved something...0 -

This is pyramid selling like a company called 'Herbal Life' from the 80's very similar strategy claiming the same financial gains and I have known people including myself who nearly lost money. I eventually got my refund from a so called friend who tried selling me the dream!
As MSE says if its sounds too good to be true it usually is.0 -
Best advice is stay well away. The sales team sell friends info and take advantage of people looking for an income. Ex ( beauty queen ) ex lawyer and pilot lol who has never practiced law is at the uk front end with the sales seminars. If you was a Lawyer why become a salesman. ?0
