Have furniture, want to give to people in need
I have 2 sofas which are in reasonable condition and I would like to give them to someone who has a real need for furniture, eg. single mums / homeless moving into 1st time accomodation, I'm sure you know what I mean. Anyway do you know of a charity or something similar who would have a use for these, they would have to be able to pick up. Thanks in advance for your help. I am in the Fife area.

I'm not from Fife but try ringing your local Salvation Army or local council. They may know of a charity that will take these. Ours have somewhere local to distribute items such as these.
You are very generous in your thoughts and I hope that these items will be taken and used gratefully.
Failing that - have you thought of freecycling them? Join a site on line near your home town and if wanted they will collect what you are offering."It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -
We tried to give away a sofa last year but I got so many reasons from council and charities why they could not take them one place made arrangements twice to come and didn't turn up.........
We only take three piece suites was a favourite, do you have proof that it is up to standard for fire proofing.. it went on and on some couldn't collect I found it very disheartening, in the end I had to dump it at the tip but as it was in good as new condition I am sure it was snaffled up by someone....
Hope you have better luck than I did....#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Try Scotish International relief or your local Health Visitors. I gave away our cots last year this way.0

There is also HomeStart who operate on a national basis, they might be interested?
