making veg stock

i have gathered heads of leeks, broccoli stems and cauli leaves.how do i go about making stock? i would like to make it into soup afterwards. thank you

    Nice looking cauli leaves I would eat as a vegetable.

    Do you have a small onion? Dice and cook slowly in a little fat or oil until it colours (starts to caramelise), then add the other veggies chopped. Simmer and strain.

    for veg stock I just chunk the veg up and cover with water and bring to the boil, simmer gently until all the veg is soft. Drain (not forgetting to drain it into a receptacle and not down the sink - cant tell you how many times I have done that!), I dont put salt in at the stock stage you may want to add a little.
