Hello
I am putting together a walking hamper as a Christmas gift and I could do with some more ideas. It is for a couple and so far includes a fleece and pack of socks each and also a set of cards outlining walks in the local area. They so light reasonably fair weather walks and I wondered what else I could put in their gift to fill it out a bit?
Thank you!

I do a lot of walking and think your ideas so far are great and will make for a lovely gift. In terms of things to add, I like the idea of hand warmers (they often have cute ones in different shapes quite cheap in b&m/Home Bargains or on ebay), some granola bars or similar (I always pack a nature valley bar in my rucksack!), a thermos/flask or water bottle, a little first aid kit, some hot chocolate (either for when they get home after a walk or to go in the thermos), a disposable emergency rain poncho (the ones that are just glorified bin bags with arms and hoods really and can be picked up for a pound or two...great for if you get caught out by a shower and don't have proper waterproofs with you).Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0

Handwarmers are definitely a good idea - also maybe a hat, some gloves, (hip) flask ?!
There are some decent reasonably priced ideas at no1brands4you (sports & lesiure section - camping & hiking) or ellis brigham is always a good shout0 -
