Not being charged for goods.

Evening everyone,

Just a quick question, a friend of mine bought a car 2 months ago and paid for it with his debit card from a main ford dealer, however to date they have not taken any nomey. This seems very strange, does it normally take this long or have they made an error?? What is the best thing to do?(obviously not going to tell them) but how long can they leave it before taking the money out?

had a similar situation a while ago
the company must have put wrong card number in or something

got a letter from the company about a year later demanding the money

when i checked with a solicitor, was advised they have upto 6 years to claim the money, and can take u to court if u dont pay

The chances are with a car they will have enough details to chase you - and they will - the main thing is you will now have to ensure you have enough money in the account to cover the (unexpected, at least in terms of date) payment!
