in Cutting tax
Hey all,
I have just had a phone call from the in-laws regarding a tax bill they have just recieved.
They are OAP's, Father in Law has a couple of medical and ex-miner pensions and they both have state pensions (i think!)
The bill is approx £140 - i haven't seen the letter yet.
Is this happening across the board or is it a one-off with the in-laws?

First, it is presumably your father-in-law that has received the bill? Tax bills are individual.
As he has 3 sources of income, it is quite possible that he has not paid the correct tax.
All pensioners are not receiving tax bills, but some do.
He needs to check the figures first to see if they are correct.0
