I'm a teacher so no chance of overtime, could look into 2nd job am thinking of night classes (but that would not be til September) so will see what else is available.#

Quidco is a cashback co-operative, so for quite a few websites you can get a percentage back by going through them. Pigsback works in a similar way, but you can also get 'piggypoints' for competitions & click-throughs - there's a really good explanatory thread on the freebies board.

As for a second job - have you thought about offering private revision tutoring? Lots of people coming up to GCSE's & A Levels, and if you're a qualified teacher you'll probably be able to rake it in for several subjects, even if it's not what you ordinarily teach. There are companies that organise this sort of thing, or just pop adverts in your local supermarket, newsagent etc. Otherwise, if you've got enough IT experience how about offering yourself as an online tutor for places like LearnDirect?

i think you would be well advised to take some time to fully review your budget and also to re-organise it so you can better see where you are:

reorganise your SOA so it reads like this

    a. list of income and a total

    b. a detailed list of spending excluding unsecured debt

    c. a total of spending as above

    d. now you can see how much you have to pay debt monthly by forming income minus spending

    e. a list of unsecured debts
i.e. debt amount, minimum monthly debt repayment, APR for CCs
and amount outstanding, monthly payment and number left to pay for loans

    f. a total of unsecured debt

    g. monthly unsecured debt repayment

now it will be much easier to see whether minor changes to income/spending are appropriate or whether there is a need to consider DMPs or similar.

Because a DMP is a look term thing you really need to know about all your spending.

Now Income: already suggested that you should look at ways of enhancing your inome .

    Spending
    i. start a spending diary and write down everything you spend so you can see now clearly where money is going. You really need to establish how much you spend on socialising, food, haircuts, newspapers/magazine or whatever...

ii. next work out all you annual, periodic or irregular spending...so what about clothes, car tax, MOT, servicing, RAC/AA, xmas costs or present, holidays, weekends away, emergency fund for the car etc.... For all these you need to work out a yearly fifure and divide by 12 and add aline to your budget AND start saving these amounts so you have the money available when you need it and dont need to use CC or loans.

Once you have a reasonably robust view of average yearly spending then you will be able to see the options more clearly.

    Hi again folks
Well I have managed to pay of my £360 overdraft with hsbc (cheque will clear on Tues next week).
I am closing hsbc current account down when the overdraft cheque has cleared but have to keep my hsbc bills account open so I can pay my personal loan from here:mad: but cant do anything else!
Have appointment with payplan tomorrow for some general advice on my situation.
    So heres the rest...
    £15000 hsbc loan at 7.9%
    £2000 hsbc cc at 14.9%
    £5000 egg card at 16.9%
Right...know people have sais its best to pay one with highest interest rate first but I just want rid of hsbc now so am going to make extra payments (even if just for £5) to hsbc card and make minimum egg card payments.Have also worked out money for May and its going to be VERY tight but sure I can do it! (overdrawn with my current bank you see otherwise I wouold have more)
