LBM = Light Bulb Moment, that brief moment in time where we stop what we are doing and take a good long hard look at things and finally realise things have to change.

You appear to have had yours and it is shining brightly :)
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post

Just wanted to say good luck to you - this place has been a lifesaver to me. Your debts now are about the same as mine, and I was in a far worse place at the beginning (over £25000).
It's a brilliant place for support and advice, as you already know.
I've been on here just about a year, and am currently struggling to get back on the wagon after falling off over the past few months. I will get there though, because I'm not giving up.
And you will get there too - you have the support of your family.

Ah yeah, makes sense, my LBM aside from the chat with mum, was when Tony Soprano was roughing up this guy for not paying his debt and he asked tony "Tony!!! Where does this end??" Tony said "With you bankrupt or dead, either way I don't care" it all hit home at once.

On your signature it says about your situation, well done.

  • You have reminded me...another thing i have been terrified of is looking up my credit history with experian, right now I don't know why I was so terrified, I still am a little to be honest. I assume it is the worst credit report in history, one that instead of having details on it just delivers someone round to your house to say "WHAT THE F&*^%?!?!!" I will go check this now. Cant imagine I can get any credit at the point...can see where you are coming from, better do that than default and go through all the pain...although either way, it is getting sorted from now.

Also yes I will do those things, I am actually really looking forward to cutting up my two credit cards...want to savor it! sound sad :)

oh, one thing, can I ask you what LBM means?

Odd Expieren £2 report not working :(

"Sorry there has been a problem

Unfortunately your application for a credit report has not been accepted because there is a problem with the service. (Code JAVA)

Your card has not been debited. "

Can you have bad enough credit not to be allowed to see your report???

If it is a Java error, then you may need to update your java on your computer, and no you cannot have bad enough credit not to be able to see it, if it still doesn't work, try to get the statutory report, you send a postal order for £2 and they send through your full report in the post, each of the credit reference agencies can do this.

Here is a link to download java for free.

  • Today I called CCCS, spoke to a great guy who listened and told me what to do....

-Get the agreement off to CCCS
    -Change Bank
-Get proof of debt to them
    -Start to tell my debtors

All day today I felt like a new person, unstoppable!

Hi crazy fool, yes it's a great feeling when you sort it all out and finally take control instead of plodding on thinking everything's gonna be ok. Good luck with CCCS and keep going in the right direction xx
