Tips For Keeping Motivated?

Just wondering if anyone had any tips, I'm sure that lots of people have the same problem. I keep getting very bored/annoyed with all the surveys etc., but I really need the extra money. What do you guys do to keep motivated?

I've only just started up again after a break of a few months as I've had some personal problems.

I use Swagbucks, OnePoll, Ciao, Dooyoo, Triond, PureProfile, Valued Opinions, Slice the pie and Toluna.

Cheers guys.

Keep a picture of something you want and are working towards, dream house, new car, fancy holiday.

I used to keep a photo of my children on my desk. I was working for them, to give them a better start in life than the one I had. If I flagged or got fed up their smiling faces cheered me up.

It soes get tedious sometime but you have to keep the end goal in mind.

Give textbroker a go, there is a thread on here, it is a good payer.
  • Try mixing up the routine. I have a list of things I do a day, as regards surveys, clicks, vids and logging on to sites that don't send the emails. When I change things a bit everything seems to go that bit quicker.:)
  • You definately have to be in the right mood for surveys, as it can be tedious (epecially when you are disqualified after 15 minutes of the survey, grrr!)

When I'm not in the mood do do longer surveys I just do Onepoll, or the little bits on Swagbucks. Valued Opinions is nice because the payout is at just £10.

I have a spreadsheet with my list of sites to visit, plus a monthy summary of "earnings" to help motivate myself.

If you really feel you need to do lots of surveys a nice cup of tea and some biscuits helps!

Always concentrate/focus on what you want and ignore what you don't want.

The reason why you may be struggling in keeping motivated is due to the type of work your doing. Surveying is tedious and the returns are poor. There are many other routes to making money online and enjoying it at the same time. Start a free blog, open up a few affiliate accounts including Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction......... If you have a knack for anything then, try and sell your services via Fiverr, but please try not to focus on surveys.

  • My main tip is, if you're finding a day where you're easily distracted, or lacking motivation, just take a break and get away from your goal. Sometimes, when you try too hard or for too long to focus on something with little or no result, it's best to take a break away from it.

When do you commence working again? I find that the time is dependent on current stress/work load - your brain recognises once it's free again and without really thinking about it, you'll start to realise, even when in your free time, ideas start coming to you, or you re-find the motivation just to crack on.

Edit: however, you need to be clear on if you are just being plain lazy or need a break! :)
