Virgin Media - Incorrect Default

Hey all,
Looking for some advice to follow up with this.
Been going through my credit file recently, one account had been registered by Virgin Media in 2009 for an account which was opened and closed within the 14 day cooling off period. They ignored the letter, which I still have a copy of and defaulted the account.
Over the past three months, sent numerous letters, all ignored, sent requests for default notices all recorded delivery. Virgin media refused to even enter into correspondence with me. So, last week emailed the CEO of Virgin as advised to do....
Had an email back two days later admitting liability, apologising and removing all adverse data. This has been done as promised.
The main question I have, should I be pushing for some kind of compensation claim against Virgin Media in light of this. The default was on my file for three years.
Thanks in advance,

How did this impact you?
The default was on my file for three years.
During this time how many credit apps did you make? What rates were you offered?
Thanks in advance,
Really depends on the trouble it's caused you £10 an hour for admin time isn't unreasonable plus genuine costs - phone, mail etc.0 -

Ok, so clearly there was some impact, but as you say it wasn't the only default then how much of this was down to VM is hard to say. From a lenders point of view I don't know how much worse 2, 12 or 20 defaults are than one.
I would certainly make a complaint regarding the amount of time, and seek some redress for the length of time that you've spent dealing with the issue. If there was a time that the VM default was the only one against you then you may have a case, otherwise - I'm not sure what losses you can honestly say you've been caused.0
