If any supermarket accepts any vouchers that are exclusive to a competitor then they are going to make a loss. There is no way that Morries will go to Mr T and say "we've accepted this £5 MOC on your behalf, can you compensate us with £5 please?". Mr T would surely reply "I pity the fool".

Morries have budgeted for and are prepared/expecting to make a loss with every competitor voucher they accept. Their hope is that the rest of your shopping offsets that discount and that you change your allegiance for future shops. There can be no other way of looking at it

It's not like we are asking a supermarket to pay out twice for something that they have budgeted for and intended paying only once. That would be detected and responded to. Why do you think the PPs have unique BCs now? Some people have tried re-using (innocently or not) and been refused because the system knows they've been redeemed already.

I was using a small APG a few weeks back in Ts when the SS supervisor said they had to keep the receipt. Now I was happy for them to scribble whatever they wanted on it as long as I could keep it for the P&G promo. I tried explaining this but to no avail. Asked could they not take a photocopy but same answer ... no.

So the reason they had to keep the receipt ......... so they could claim the money back from Asda :rotfl: I nearly widdled myself when she said that. I was pretty sure that Asda would laugh at them if Ts asked to be reimbursed but not mentioning this I asked how Asda manage without the receipt and she said it's because they have the information on their systems and don't need it. Hmm so in which case, why would Ts need it if they are giving it to Asda?

I just love Troutisms. Someone should write a book of prized porkies that we've been told.

hi all noticed a few people are concerned about youngsters for one reason or another i really feel for you all my dd2 was bullied badly at school and it affected her badly so i know how worrying it is and how hard it is to stop so hugs to you all and to anyone else that is poorly or needs a hug xx

worried about mum at the moment she fell yesterday broke her wrist in 3 places is in hospital waiting to get a plate and wires fitted. she lives on her own and i am worried how she will cope, i am going to hers later to have a tidy ( shes very messy ) and fill the freezer with ready meals and will go in every day but any suggestions of things i will need to organise or do to help her thanks.

Sorry about your mum. :( The ready meals etc will help. Can you check with hospital/occupational health if there are any aids they can provide for use within the house? Maybe they could do an assessment before she goes home.
Smile :) and hopefully the world will smile back
