They can tell when they are in a good home yours is in a good home now :T.
I took in another dog called Chloe an Irish terrier my bro's partners ex had it then decided to get rid so when bro told me i took her in. This was some years ago Chloe died about 4 year ago and Lucy 6 ... I could tell she had been mistreated her fur was awful and she didnt have a clue what do do with food or toysI had a Jack Russell at the time and she taught her it was so nice watching them both together and Chloe grew up into a lovely dog. Couldnt have newspapers or bags near her she used to crouch and have fear in her eyes
.
Poppy was a rescue dog and she was thin and scrawny and really naughty when i got her but now she's my loving baby girl :j
Aww tweets, you've helped lots of unfortunate doggies.:T:T
Clio is nervous around newspapers too, and if you snatch your hand up (like if you're going to sneeze) she runs and hides because she's scared. We just stay as calm as we can around her, no shouting etc, she gets better every day. Poppy's gorgeous by the way.:D
Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -

Just had a few more bits of bad news there, the guy looking after my dogs has just informed me that he and his wife are finally splitting up for good and he's moving out just after Xmas  They have been 'not together a a couple' for 10 years, he's stayed to look after her while she's been ill.
I think the final straw came 4 weeks ago when she decided to disappear for a week and wouldn't answer anyone's calls then turned up as if nothing had happened declaring that she'd been in a mates and why was everyone so worried! Since then they've just been arguing about everything, the atmosphere has been awful.
I hadn't realised things had been so bad between them, I knew they had been leading separate lives for years, ever since I met them both it's been like this.
The second bad bit of news was the same lady had an argument with her sister last night which ended with her in A&E. They had went out for a drink at dinner time and at some point ended up in her sisters exes house. According to him they all sat up drinking all night and the sisters started arguing over something in the early hours of this morning. One went upstairs and the other followed, arguing continued and ended with this lady at the bottom of the stairs :(
Her sister just went to the pub after the ambulance and cops had been, still covered in her sisters blood!!!
Her face is busted, broken ribs and other bones, the guy has been told he's not welcome at the hospital.
I'm supposed to be looking after the dogs as they were both supposed to be away this weekend but her sister has said if she sees me near the house she'll kill me so pretty worried but dogs need to be fed.
I can't ask the lady next door to go in with me as just heard that her son tried to kill himself again and life support was turned off on Friday morning
I can't believe it
Sorry need to talk to someone as don't want to let my son know what's happening.
Oh SD how horrible
TBH I would suggest speaking to the local RSPCA type place about the dogs....longer term it isnt looking too good for them and they will probably end up being rehomed anyway
Please dont take what I am about to say the wrong way. I mean what I say with the best intentions and really hope that I am not going to offend you.
You seem to take on a lot of other people's problems. While I accept that you are a lovely person with a heart of gold, sometimes you have to take a step back as they are not your problem. Someone else will have to look after the dogs.
If anyone deserves a weekend away from everything, it is you.
Please go on your weekend away, and enjoy it xxI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
