Morning Everyone. Looks really miserable out there today.

Problem with heating - the radiator in the lounge is luke warm at the top but the bottom cold. All the others are fine. Anyone got any ideas, can't afford to call someone in as just paid my car insurance.

Sounds like you may need to bleed the system, go round each one and use a little square key to bleed the air out, should be at the top of the radiator at the end That's what I usually do. Hope that helps.

Possibly needs bleeding. Needs air letting out from top. Do you have a bleed key or even a screw driver if it's a slotted nut at the end. Mainly air comes out but sometimes a bit water so have an old towel handy.

    Good luck:)

If there was air in the system then I think it would be cold at the top and warm at the bottom. I think it is possible you have a sludge problem and you would have to drain system, remove rad from wall and flush out with hose in the garden. Consider doing other rads while it's drained. Refill and test, then if all ok then put the right qty of corrosion inhibitor in.

There are chemical sludge removers and system cleaners you can try but if the system is really full of the stuff they may not work well.

Also check the taps/valves at bottom as they could be closed. Works like a normal tap to open. Sorry if it sounds condescending :o
