If only there were more people in the world like this.......
The following is from the RIP Karina Menzies facebook page regarding the hit and runs in Cardiff.

'Amidst all the carnage and the chaos that ripped through Cardiff Last Friday....one little story that restores your faith in human kindness. In the early evening, a group of students arrived at the Accident and Emergency department at the Heath Hospital.....they were weighed down with bags of food and drink. Having seen the events unfold on telly.......they had gone to the shops , and with their own money had bought enough food to feed a small army. They had figured that the people involved would be too busy to stop.....so they had brought something for them to eat. It was for the doctors, nurses, paramedics, family relatives, police, fire and rescue.......it was for everyone. A small act of spontaneous kindness by a group of students who "Just wanted to do something to help" . Having delivered the food , they hung around "In case you needed blood donations". It was a bad day in Cardiff last Friday.......but little things like this are so very important......They provide hope in the middle of all the despair......There are a great many good people out there......but it seems we only get to hear about the bad........which is why this simple story needs to be shared.'

I cried when I read this. Its lovely to hear of such kind acts.

aren't these 20% weekends great? I love a girrrrl with a drill. I would be lost without mine. Like I said to Fudgecake a couple of weeks ago....learn to use it, it's very empowering:D. You will be looking for excuses to get your drill out before you know it.

Very nice to hear you sounding bright and happy 3dogs. You sound like the old you. I got talking to an old man with a nice dog on the beach this morning ( as you do) he reckoned us women are made of strong stuff.....he could be right:)

I think I will be able to use it, athritic hands permitting - it is amazing what you can do when you have to :D If not, it will come in handy for Andy & Steve to use when they come up to visit ;);)

I agree with that old man Fairclaire ;):D
Hi 3 dogs - not been on here and seen you posts lately - am full of admiration for you - your strength , humility and compassion are a credit to you and an inspiration to all on here (esp me):)

Blush Blush :o:o Did you decide on a name for the new puppy by the way?

Has anyone on here heard of Jake Bugg? Hotly tipped in the industry to make it big and his debut album went to No 1 in Album charts this week. Singer/songwriter, sort of country/folk/pop, comes from Nottingham

I used to think they were Aussie at the time for some reason. Loved it :j :j

He's really good. When he first walked onscreen on the Taste It video he looked like a young Mick Jagger.

Reflux playing up all because I ate garlic!! I love it but it doesn't love me :(
Just taken meds but know I'll be up for at least another hour or two. I sleep on my tummy but that makes the reflux worse, can't lie on my side or my back so have to sit up, the only up side being that I can hopefully start reading some of the kindle books I downloaded for my iPad.

    I'm so tired!
