Hi all. I had an unexpected DTD in T this evening. Having read on here that 360g boxes of Maltesers are £2 in T's, I bought a couple of boxes on my way home tonight. They were the last 2 boxes and the SEL showed £4 crossed out and £2 price. Imagine my surprise when I checked my highish bill and they'd scanned @ £4 a box. I got back the £8 they'd cost so free Maltesers. I would have bought more if they'd had 'em as they are not often this cheap. What was puzzling was that if all the others were sold and they didn't remove the sel people must have bought them @£4 without noticing. This price is on offer until 23/10/12 so its not like they were changing the price today or tomorrow. Do post if you get same result so people don't think I'm telling porkies.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Hope the wedding went well altojack.

No supermarkets here today. We went into London to see Top Hat. Great stuff. I did get two packs of the Special K biscuits at Euston though. Also gave MIL a twin pack of cheese. She was delighted.

Followed an SA up an escalator this morning;)

Had to ask her what the aroma was!

    Magnifique she said.

    Indeed.

Oh god, that reminds me, picking up broccoli and some guy scoots up next to me and says "You should be in jail"

I stand there puzzled, frantically trying to work out if he's a copper/security guard/ trout who's foiled the beans coupon. He just stares at me, nods and said "for smelling too good. What is it?"

    Que awkward pause.

"Le Nor" Then I grab a tree and leg it!

  • Hi good morning and good night it's our half term and we drove to porthleven last night to pillage all the local stores.

Sadly the crab man in Hayle had gone by the time we got there after being at St Ives today :eek:.

We were mortified to see a fisherman just breaking the crabs claw off the crab and then putting them back in the sea today, so please think about just buying crabs claws at the fish market, it might be the best meat but....

Hope your having a great time buddy, hope the kids are enjoying, sada is all sold out of Reloaded ;-((

Did get some some soup today though !!

They have lots in a pallet up the back of the store at the end of the toiletries aisle, priced at 3.00 but scanned at 60p. lots more reduced stuff, they seem to be selling off a few ex-display items, tv's, dvd players, microwaves and radios.
boxes of hp printer paper in 5x500 packs were £3.60 also quite big boxes of A5 size brown envelopes sorry vague on number in box but was £2.50ish and was quite a lot in the box, a safe and other office supplies too.
oh and long life light bulbs, the spotlight type for 40pish.
they had oil for motorbikes for 70p electric sanders for £12 a tool box £5.
trying to remember as much as possible feels like the Generation game, no cuddly toys though:o hth
mmm..... these strawberries make my breath happy mum ds

On a strand of pure silver, I'll welcome each day
