Did anyone in Devon or Cornwall hear this yesterday?

I must be too far west, this was the first I heard. Also just seen that Natwest in Truro has found a 'suspicious package', they are awaiting the bomb disposal squad, hope it turns out to be nothing.
No, and I live very near to where it was supposed to have happened....the earth didn't move for me :rotfl:
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

  • I wish more people would post their shopping lists... Can I implore you all to do just that? Not only do we learn from them but i do like a good nose.

It really helps us newbies.. and remember, we were all newbies once.

For example.. my list tonight. If someone was after beer, they'd know now that they can get some good quality budwieser in Asda which compares with Tesco! The bud was 9.00 in Asda, and 7.50 in Tesco!

evening all. Managed a quick stop in at the massive Ts at Ruth3rg13n on way back from Glasgow just as loads of clearance stuff was getting put out. Got calculator for 5p!, Mechanical pencils 5p each, set of 3 neon highlighters for 9p, Blackberry cover for £1, Winter car kit (demister pad, scraper, deicer) for 50p, simonx car wash 62p, Unibond extra strong tape £1.50 (went through till at £4.95 so got DTD after some gentle persuasion that surely I shouldn't have to check barcode numbers against SEL) :) I could have spent hours in there but DD would only let me have 30 mins :(

    hi all.

have been at work all day. come back to see my cyber friends and there's more upset.

And by the way, not into facebook cos people try to talk to you and people that you haven't spoke to since school will be trying to talk to you:rotfl:

Anyway, enough of the misery. Now for some good news....

i have been told today that i can move into my little flat... it's been ages waiting for the paperwork etc and now finally we're good to go.

For the newer peeps, i have been saving for the flippin deposit for ages... and this is our first ever flat. We've been putting up with a tiny room for 6 years just so we can get the deposit. it's like a dream..

Amazing.... am going to be a homeowner:T

Congratulations! :T I've heard a growing number of families are moving in together to save collectively to buy property nowadays, good luck with the move :j

    Tenth Anniversary
I used to eat raw black pudding
Thts not quite as bad as it sounds, as black pudding is actually cooked to become the pudding, but still - yuk:p
