I'm now the [STRIKE]proud [/STRIKE] owner of 2 hearing aids.
Blimey....I didn't realise how blinking mutton I was :rotfl:

I walked through the town to collect my T Direct order and I could actually hear a couple behind me's whole conversation!
I reckon I've got bat like hearing now :D

The only downside so far though is the amount of static interference I'm getting from the lighting etc. inside the shops.....I fully expect to walk back outside looking like this!

Don't know if it's of any of use, but you would almost certainly qualify for a disabled persons railcard which for £20 will give you and a companion 1/3 of rail travel for 1 yr.:j:j

I agree, although it depends on the extent of the hearing loss.

Hearing aids can be a bit tricky to get used to. Don't be afraid to give your local audiology dept a call if you need to. That's what they are there for

I have a hearing test done annually because of the job I do. Perfect hearing again :j

Although sometimes, having perfect hearing isn't all it's cracked up to be :(

This interests me because my OH has a hearing aid because menieres disease. Worried about this one - think it would mean that his driving license would be at stake? What do you think?

    And then repeat :j:j:j

We have no heating, never have. Just a gas fire in the living room. I always get wrapped up in the winter when I go to bed. Apparently I look like Nanook of the North.:rotfl:
