We have 2 called Rhubarb & Custard. Rhubarb has been missing for 3 weeks. I am beside myself with worry. Not sure what else i can do. Been out walking every night, notified the local rescue centres and told the micro chipping company.
I lost both my cats when they were younger for different reasons, one being my stupid ex thought he could take one of them to the vet by carrying them in. Of course the cat bolted and was missing for couple weeks in the middle of february and in the snow and miles from home. But an old lady had spotted her in her back garden and after a couple of revisits calling her name she came running up the lady's back garden into my arms.
The other cat was hit by a car and was again missing for a couple of weeks, was found in nearby woods with broken jaw and a shadow of his former self. Again calling out his name was how we found him, could hear a pityful meow that I recognised. Had been walking the roads for days knocking on people's doors and calling his name, and it was really hard to go to work in between knowing he was missing. I shall never forget his first night back home he was allowed to sleep on the towels in the airing cupboard.
I really hope this is the case for you hun that you find yours,:( x0 -

Evening guys
I have been very down since getting back home and need to get motivated to do some work in the house. I picked the dogs up from the kennels on Monday and took them straight to the groomers. They both looked lovely when I picked them up later, with their coats trimmed right back, and smelled lovely, much nicer than they did wwhen I got them from the kennels
Problem is, after 32 days in the kennels, they have both been weeing in the house  I let them in the garden several times a day, and shout at them if I see them doing it, then put them in the garden, and Molly is getting cleaner, but it is the older dog Bes who is the main problem. And when Bess wees, it is a flood. She used to whine and scratch at the back door if she wanted out, but is just weeing by the back door now more often than not
It wwwould be ok if I could leave the back door open for them, but it is too cold for that, and it is tipping it down with rain right now
Anyway, I was jusst coming off the phone after a lovely chat to Kit & Steve on Monday night, when Bess walked out of the kitchen after having a drink, and wee'd in hall between kitchen and sitting room. I sshouted to tell her off and put her into the garden with the door closed while I mopped it up and disinfected the floor. After a while I let her back in, got myself a bottle of fruit cider, poured myself a glass, and settled down to come online. Both dogs tried to jump on my knee together and I pushed them away, and Molly happened to knock over the glass and bottle all over the table and floor ............. and I went into meltdown. I was shouting at the dogs then shouting that 'I can't cope with all this', and crying my eyes out. I eventually mopped up the floor with towels and then put them in to wash. I felt so depressed and aloneWhen I settled again, I gave the dogs cuddles each as the poor things didn't know what was going on and were just watching me
Problem is, this is what I used to be like before I went on antidepresssants a few years ago, breaking down in tears at the lightest thing, and I am now on quite strong AD's which have got me through the past few months very well up till now. In fact, at times, I felt that they were 'helping' me too much, cutting out my feelings a bit too much
The other thing troubling me is that, despite catching that last mouse, there are signs of others still here. I have so much stuff lying about, it is hard to clear it all when I just don't have the motivation, but having the piles of clutter is what is demotivating me also. Catch 22 situation, and it is all getting on top of me. I was really good when I was away, in good company, but not so good now
I HAVE to declutter and that means throwing loads of stuff out. Stuff that I may want in the future, but just haven't got space for now. I will have to be rethless
Sending you hugs xxx
Firstly I know what you mean about the meds, I was prescribed increasingly stronger ones after DH died and I too found that they helped too much. I felt totally numb most of the time, you could have told me anything and I would have thought nothing of it. Days and weeks passed, I couldn't have told you what day it was let alone the date, I had to start writing important things in a diary because I forgot (and still do forget) when something needs done. It came to a head when something happened and I realised I should have been more upset so spoke to GP about it. Different meds just made me feel the same so came off the lot but I still feel the same numbness and total indifference most of the time, the important thing is my DS so long as he's ok nothing else matters.
Talk to your GP, they may have suitable alternatives.
Secondly the dogs, I will be facing this problem soon. Where mine are at the moment they have free run of the house and constant access to the back garden, I dread to think how I'll cope. My baby girl should be easier to get back into my routine but puppy boy may not be because I hadn't had him long before he went to stay where he is now. I am panicking and thinking of trying to rehome him if necessary. I couldn't rehome my baby girl because she was the last anniversary prezzie DH gave me, that would be too hard to do.
I don't know what to suggest here appart from routine as you'll already know.
Thirdly the clutter. I still can't bear to go through the boxes of stuff from our other house. I have tried many times but find something of DHs or something he gave and just break down. My philosophy is out of sight out of mind. The boxes are in my bedroom, is it wrong that I am thinking of putting a curtain up to hide the boxes
Easier said than done is taking it a bit each day, I have managed to sort out some of mine by taking a quick look inside then putting the box into the correct room. It will be unpacked on a day I decide on but only because I set myself a box every few days at the most.
You will get through the bags etc at some point but don't rush yourself or you might end up getting totally fed up with the pressure of 'having' to get it done quickly and not want to do it at all. I got a lot of pressure from my family to get everything done the weeks after I moved in but this just made me want to forget them all and do something else
Sorry for going on a bit.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Got my APG back - it worked on cheese purchased this evening so 90p each . Found these packs in former Netto little store.
Also had my first large womble - £10+ voucher, so a good day all round.
Also does not anyone suspect that the cheese "glitch" is no such thing - people are reporting even the SELs are saying £1, MySM shows it as £1 and Martin promoted it in his newsletter ... if it looks like a fish and smells fishy, it is cheese. Ts could correct this at any moment but people are reporting them putting out more stock - they don't tend to give something away unless some form of cunning promotion (disguised as a glitch, go viral, bring people in who will buy other things). Now As get hammered through no fault of their own - they have it on offer at £5!

Think you could be right, it is unusual to last couple of days. It did cross my mind maybe there is a cheese mountain. I'm old enought to remember the butter mountain of the 70s I think.0 -

Hello...had a bit of a lurk on here on and off over the last 24 hours. Was going to post last night, but well...you know...
Not posted (or really popped in) on any of these threads since the 10p casserole dishes, but stumbled across a post about cheese yesterday and managed to bag myself the last 2 packs in my local, yay! Considered biking over to the nearest Extra store, but the weather was rubbish, and cheese addict tho i may be, i'm addicted to being warm and dry even more!
Also managed to get myself the grand total of £2.22 via wombled receipts, so quietly chuffed with that. Is it 1 voucher per transaction? Coz they're split between 5 receipts. I'm going to work hard and study the thread and get myself to the fabled £15 mark someday tho!
Thanks to folk that have posted the glitches and ways to get a little back from the 'big 4'...hope i can add a few myself along the way.
