I think it will be a good one, for stocking up for Christmas!:D

I think I have talked myself into doing this one myself now :D I just need to be convinced about the price difference as its change over day, pretty please somebody has to buy a test bottle this morning along with the other usual t v a items.
These would be good as teachers Christmas pressies or for the usual Christmas raffles or just something sparkling for Christmas day.
I need a £5 wys £40 to start me off though..

I wish I'd got more on Sunday, just got 3 boxs of simply whiskas on Saturday, its the fish jelly, it really stinks - the cats are going nuts for it :D

I wish I'd even known about the whiskas!! Must do better :o

On the bright side, I have a £50 tesco shop on its way this afternoon that only cost me twenty. It has nine packs of whiskas in there so I suppose I can class those as the 'free' part of the shopping.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

Wish I could get my head round what the plan is with the £5 bonus voucher. I have a £12 APG burning a hole in my pocket and no idea what to do with it other than buy beer.

I am a huge fan of MSE
I am a huge fan of this thread
I would like it to continue

Could everyone please observe the forum rules. Thank you :)

If you feel someone is trolling or is an AE who you feel is still causing disruption please report them to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. Do not respond to them on the forum - that makes things worse.
A guide to dealing with trouble makers
Sadly in a forum of this size, and many much smaller, there will always be trolls; people who enjoy disrupting or being unpleasant. It's a part of human nature; and when arguments or spats happen people tend to get involved and even those who normally behave well can do things they wouldn’t normally think acceptable.

On MSE we hope that our users can and will behave as adults. If someone is rude or offensive we ask that you report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com so it can be dealt with and looked at soon.

Don’t respond or engage with trolls

More importantly we ask that you don’t respond, get involved or start name calling – that simply isn’t helpful and it means in the long run you risk your own privilege to post on this forum being removed just as much as the original trouble maker.

If there is a problem 'don’t feed the troll' – in other words don’t engage or let it escalate: report it to us.

We don’t have moderators on the site, the forum is too big and it's not legally advisable. Yet even if we did, it is very difficult to judge who is right and who is wrong in a fight.

We will look at what you’ve done, not at what caused it

Therefore the only way we can do this, without the wisdom of Solomon is to take a step back and look at the way an individual has conducted themselves.

Therefore while you may feel someone deserved nasty treatment, we will simply judge on how you’ve behaved not why – because we ask that if you’ve reported it to the Forum Team you then leave it and let us deal with it.

No solution is perfect, and a balance must be drawn between trying to keep everything nice and allowing discussion and opinion to take place – we do not want to operate a police force, yet if we are called to protect users and the forum we will do so.

To quote one forum user who summed it up better than we can:

“Use the report function, use the ignore list, don’t go into forums that annoy you, don’t get angry with cyber people. It shouldn’t be rocket science.”

Anyone who tried the kneehigh boots that were £5 - how do they fit? I have a size 3 in my basket online but I am 3.5 really? TIA

Probably too late to help, but I tried them last night and they were on the small side. I would say you need a 4.

Also tight at the top on the calf (not that I have the smallest calves...)

HTH!

Cheese Glorious Cheese

I found some this morning. Many thanks Annabelle. I just missed a friend of Martins, he strolled up to the cheese this morning and picked up two packets without looking.

Freeze the cheese after grating. I grate and then freeze in the resealable bags they came in. That way I know exactly how much cheese in each pack.

Our store is undergoing a huge renovation and has introduced shop and scan.

Something curious....I put one cheese through SS to check that it was £1 and paid. Then went back and did a normal shop to try the shop and scan. Scanned cheese and it was £6.55. Thought that was a quick fix and a bit bummed. Left trolley and took a cheese to SS and it scanned at £1.

So for some reason the handheld scanner and the SS registered different prices. Still need to be vigilant.

BTW - had a chat to Deputy Manager. Don't normally whoopsie but a few days ago there was a real scrum and a woman grabbed something out of my hands and screamed "it's mine!!" Quite disgusting and there were elderly people trying to buy as well. Mentioned to SA and she said security was called recently when a woman actually hit a 70 yr old man. Shame on them.

Anyways, so pleased T's giving us something as there is no A's near.
