Grassroots - you mentioned Val Doonican. Once my nephew and niece where about 5 or 6, I babysat some Saturday/Sundays and used to let my nephew come back down to watch Val Doonican in hope he would sing Paddy McGinty's Goat as my nephew loved it, being called Patrick (Paddy) and having a McG surname :D:D Lovely memories :D I miss my nephew lots and often think of him, and how he might have grown up. He was killed in 1995 by a highspeed train while crosssing the line in taking a shortcut to a mate's house :(:( He was only 21 :( Devastating. He was Mam & Dad's only Grandson, so they only had the one grandchild, my niece, after that, as I never wanted kids and my brother never married

3dogs that's really sad. It brought a tear to my eye. I lost my eldest sister when she was 30 and it's sad when I remember things from the past, but it's also good to have those memories :A
