A super Sunday here thanks MKS , what a shame about your DD1's curtailed trip (with someluck she might have squeezed in some sightseeing amongst the business .

Which city was she going to .?

I've been fortunate enough to visit that vast country twice but must admit i was amazed at a BBC programme the other night that showed Indians and how they do (family) business etc ,the amount of crime gangs that controlled certain parts on many cities seemed to take most of the rupees from had working folk .

She was off to Delhi. Last time she went, they were 20hr working days:eek: so no sightseeing. The F1 drivers were staying at her hotel though.
  • For all those [STRIKE]lusting after Felix Baumgartner,[/STRIKE] interested in the record breaking edge of space skydive, here is an update:

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/skydiver-lands-astonishing-24-mile-leap-195457715.html

This quote by former record holder Colonel Joseph Kittinger made me laugh, ""I'd like to give the one-fingered salute to everyone who said he was going to break apart when he went supersonic..."

I noticed they didn't quote that on the BBC website! :rotfl:

Just incase anyone missed this last night: :p

Afternoon all - not been around much - life seems to have taken over.

How about Muffin the Mule? and I remember Rag, Tag & Bobtail. How about Sooty or was that later?

My favourite was Bill & Ben and the Woodentops with Spot the Dog.:rotfl:

I remember sitting at the table when I was about 3, when the Redifusion Man came with our first telly. I was so excited as I would be able to see 'Watch with Mother' .............. but there was something wrong with the set and he had to take it away :( I cried :(:(............... but he came the next day and got it working just in time for The Woodentops ............... and of course I fell in love with Spot the Dog
