Beauty courses?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'm putting it here as it is to do with training!

I've worked for a recruitment agency for almost 3 years now, half of my working life has been in retail and half in office based roles.

I enjoy working in office based roles but am finding it difficult to get a permanent job. I am really interested in training in beauty. I love doing nails, painting etc and would love to train as something to do on the sideline and if I'm out of work. However, I'm struggling to find courses that don't cost £1000's. I live in Kent and can travel around Kent.
Trouble is, I don't just want to do nails, I want to do the whole lot - waxing, eyelash extensions, tinting, tanning etc.

Does anyone have any tips on how/where to train as low cost as possible and in a relatively short space of time?

I know I'm probably asking for too much but thank you for helping! :o

You need to have a look at courses that are available at your local college.
  • 1. contact your local FE College as the courses have now started but they will likely have a January intake.
    2. Ask them about whether they have ESF Workplace Learning funding. (in the South East it will be called Training Works). This is a pot of funding for people in work to improve skills & secure employment through training. Depending on where you are in Kent, the colleges I know that have access to this are
    K College
    Mid Kent College
    Thanet College
You could also try Sussex Coast, Hastings.
    3. Ask about first level 2 or level 3 funding depending on your prior qualifications.
