10.4.07 what small dfw thing will you do/have you done today?

Happy Tuesday!

Well, the sun continues to shine, so what better reason to let us all know what small step you will be taking today on your road to being debt free?

Even things that you think may be insignificant in the big scheme of things are really important - they are the things that are forming good habits so will make the biggest differences over time :j

So, today I will be:

- turning off my heating (and hoping the good weather continues!)
- sticking to pasta week menu plan - today it is Spaghetti Carbonara :D
- having a NSD by taking a flask of coffee to the kid's Karate so I don't buy an expensive coffee while I am there waiting
- getting some washing out on the line, using washing tablets and softener that I found in a box in the garage
- enjoying the free sunshine

Have a good day, everyone x

    Morning everyone,
I have today off work (yay!) so I can really get to work on listing ebay/ amazon items, rummaging for more things to list.

I have also got to post ebay parcel and do a bit of housework which should keep me too occupied to shop! :D

Out for a meal later with friends which I have budgeted for, will also buy a day travel ticket saving me £5.

    Have a good day everyone!

Hope you dont mind me joining in!
Big day for me financially - I am listing my car on ebay tonight, planning to put the money into a cash ISA so I can take additional maternity leave later on in the year.
I did a car boot sale yesterday and am taking what didnt sell to the charity shop, meaning I can spend the rest of the day cleaning the house (nesting, baby due in 2 weeks), without having boxes in the way.
While cleaning, I will be filing some financial information and hopefully rebudgeting for my now reduced pay as I started maternity last week.
I have about 5 other items to list on ebay.
At least I am at home a lot and eat at home instead of getting tempted by lunches, sandwiches etc.

Oh guys I have had a really good morning.

Took my lawnmower back to B&Q as it wasn't working and still in guarantee. Paid £71.53 for the lawnmower, it was originally approximately £90 but bought it whilst it was on offer and as I bought it on a Wednesday and mum was with me we used her 'old people's discount' card. Took it back today and they refunded me £90 (I was even honest with the assistant and told her it was on offer when we had it and used mums card), it seemed like to much trouble for her so she just refunded the lot.

Bought another lawnmower which was marked up at £79.99. When I went to pay they tried to charge me £99.99, I argued the toss and got it for £79.99. Plus a credit note for £20 (difference between the old lawnmower and the new one).

I've just come home and in the post was £100 worth of M&S vouchers £50 for each of my recent policy renewals with Zurich.

There is a god afterall and today he's looking down on me x
  • I put my washing outside

Washed kitchen floor using soda crystals and white vinegar

    Caught up on paperwork

    Did my clicks on quidco

Decided against a new chest freezer saving £99 I couldn't really afford!

Counted up silver in the Branston jar - £27.45

    That's it really
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p
  • Well today I put my trainers on and left a little earlier to I could walk to work and save on bus fare! I will walk home too and hopefully try to do this everyday from now on!

My lunch is free today, courtesy of my friend who does not like airplane food ( I DO!) who flew in last night and gave me the lunch box he was given! (one might think this is slighty scabby but I love the taste of it!)

Thanks for the previous tips ;)
