how do you decide?

First thing i want to say is this the right place to post? The forum mentions job seeking but i wouldnt want to take away from people out of work lookong for work. Im working but for a while i have been finding things tougher and tougher.
Thr job itself i dont mind but the company recently brought in a new system that is almost indescdibably bad. The company seems to think the solution is to put pressure on staff.
So this amongst other things (want to get married and start family soonish) has got me thinking. I may have to find another job anyway but instead of doing it because i have to i want to do it wgile its my choice to it.
The stumbling block is how do you decide what you want to do? This is particularly important as i dont just want to drift into another job and leave if/when that becomes unbearable.
Sorry to ramble guess im just looking for insights from others at this point. I dont mind undertaking training or study in fact i would quite welcome it

Id say write down what you do/like doing eg interacting with cusotmers, working on your own/with other people.0
