Hellix debt collection, door collection

Today I have recieved a letter from a company called Hellix Limited stating they would be sending someone to my house to collect a debt that I personally knew nothing about.
I called and spoke to them and explained this and also explained that I'm not working at the moment although if the debt was proven i'd come to an arrangement to make payments but this would be minimal due to my being heavily pregnant. The advisor i spoke to point blank stated he wouldn't send me any documentation nor would he accept a minimal offer, it would HAVE to be at least £25 per month. I again stated This wasn't feasible and that I'm pregnant and do not need stress, at which point he began shouting at me and saying that was fine, someone would be coming to my house to take my assets, i explained he couldn't do so without a court order but he said he can. He also questioned why I wouldn't be off on maternity leave for the whole time, who else lives me etc. I've honestly never been spoken to like this in my life! The debt is only for £277 aswell!
I have since contacted the originating compmany, Kwik fit car insurance who stated I did have an insurance with them in 2008 and had cancelled it, however I could not recall this and asked them to send me documentation and a copy of ther credit agreement - they have said they do not have this because once i sign it and send it bacvk they just shred it.
I dont know where to go from here! What should I do? I really don't want to speak to anyone from Hellix again due to the way they spoke to me and how stressed out It's making me when im literally weeks away from giving birth.
Many thanks.

Firstly don't panic!
The MOST important thing to remember is that no one can force an entry to your property/home without a warrant or court order. To get a court order, you would receive paperwork from the court giving you time to reply. If you were then given a CCJ then the creditor can ask the bailiffs to attend but even they cannot force an entry.
If you look at lots of similar threads here, you will see the creditor needs to prove you owe them a debt. A business is required to retain it's paperwork for a period of no less than 6 years, so quick fit saying they shredded it and cannot send you a copy is rubbish.
Do not telephone again.
Write a letter to the debt collection company stating the debt is in dispute and any further threats from them will be seen as harassment , write to Quikfit and ask for proof that you owe them a debt.
If it went as far as court and you have offered a minimum amount per month, it is unlikely it would go any further so long as you stick to the agreement.
Don't worry. Debt collectors have their hearts removed so they can do this job and even they are governed by the law. They always try to scare people into settlements. the CAB are great with advice for how to deal with them.

Thank you! I feel a lot better now. I had a quick look and from what's can gather they have to provide proof of the signed credit agreement in order to uphold the debt? Is that right? Ill need to find a letter or something to send to them about this!0

Threatening pregnant ladies who may not even be the right person.
Just goes to show how spineless these companies really are. I'd be VERY surprised if anyone showed up at your door.
If they do, tell them to put everything in writing and go away otherwise you'll call the Police as they are trespassing on your property.
If they call say "In writing only" and put the phone down.0
