HELP building a CV! PLEASE!

Hi,

I've had the same CV since secondary school and am now second year college, 17 years old, barely any experience other than working at a takeaway for 6 months.

My CV isnt very good because if it was I would have got replies, so, was wondering if I could get some help from people on here or get someone to check it? I cant really think of ways to make it unique, I was thinking of adding a photo with every CV I hand out to shops/ businesses, is that a good idea?

If anyone can check it for me I would be grateful because no one in my family really knows much about CV's as they all run their own businesses and my parents english isnt good, so, they cant help  .

I would be ever so happy if someone can help.

Thanks,

-MoE-

++ Don't send a photo - people should be judging the facts not what you look like
++ Don't just send a CV (however wonderful it is) - send a covering letter with it to highlight how you meet recruiter's needs.
++ Don't try to make it unique if that makes it look "odd" - for instance no fancy typefaces, stick with something like Arial or Times New Roman; if sending paper copy, use white or cream paper (not green or pink or whatever)
++ Ensure grammar and spelling are error-free
++ Promote your skills and knowledge
++ ask other people to look at it (as you have done) - you'll probably get at least six opinions from every five people - but those people will know more about you and your skills and can be looking out for opportunities for you too

    Good luck
