Hi,
I am interested in learning about training to become a personal finance advisor and wondered if anyone on MSE would be able to help.
I have looked at the courses offered through the ifs School of Finance and they look interesting. Has anyone here trained with them?
Is it also the place of a personal finance advisor to offer ideas for how to save money?
Thank you all for your time,
Tim

I am sure that someone else asked a similar question a while back - but anyway this seems like a good article:

Hi PlutoinCapricorn,
Thank you for your replies. The MoneyWise link is really informative. Do you happen to know of any good books on personal finance? I'm currently re-reading the Personal Finance book from the Open University from a module I did a couple of years back.

How about this one, from the clients' viewpoint: your library may have it,

Thanks, it looks like a really good book. I'll keep an eye out for a good deal on Amazon as the library don't have a copy.0

Can you not reserve a copy online, if your local library doesn't have a copy they get it form a local library.0
