Options
Apologies, as I can't find my post from last week.
Can anyone suggest a decent firm in the Merseyside area and any to avoid please?

Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.

I think a lot depends on what you want from them. In St. Helens, Haygarth Jones are very good for family law, whilst Canter, Levin and Berg are not. They're better for conveyancing.
Although I had used CLB for buyinbg a house in the past, when it came to my very messy divorce, I couldn't use them because my ex hired them. I looked in the Yellow Pages and found HJ, who advertised as family law specialists. They were very good, and I would recommend them for this type of work.
I know people who are happy with J Keith Park (wills), and Tickle and Cross (also wills) - but the latter is far more expensive.0 -
Robert Brodie was A brilliant solicitor until he threw himself off the Anglican Cathedraljust passing through.... Nothing to see....0

All depends what legal advice you require.
My family and friends have used Jackson and Canter for all sorts of issues in the past.0 -
Just try to steer clear of E.Rex Makin. Thats just my opinion but I found them to be useless. No One I Think Is In My Tree.:cool:0

I found Haygath Jones very poor, the person who dealt with me was very slow and actually put my file into archive at a very important point which has left me in a mess financially and mentally.
They had been recommended to me and maybe the rest are good but this one person was a disgrace.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Edwards Abrahm & Doherty have been very good to us in the past (medical issue) Jackson Canter (family & benefit advice) Allan Pilch & Roberts Moore Nicholas Jones ( house buying selling) Avoid Lindsay and Roland IMHO. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
