DULUX Weathershield (5 Litre Masonry Paint) - 3 FOR 2 (£12.60 Per Can)

Hiya Guys

Not sure if this has been posted before, but here's one for those wanting to spruce up the outside of their house with the nicer weather coming.

FOCUS DIY are selling currently doing a promotion for 'DULUX - Weathershield' (masonry paint).

It's £20.99 per 5 litres, but it's on a '3 FOR 2' offer.

This works out approx £42.00 for 15 litres (3 x 5 litres).

BUT.............if your local 'FOCUS DIY' is within 10 miles of a 'B&Q', then 'B&Q' will match the price and then knock off 10%.

I came away with 3 x 5 litres for a £37.79 (£12.60 per can).

Only wish I'd spotted this offer before buying the other 12 cans. :(

Not exactly sure when the promotion ends, but ISTR it was 20 summat of April.

Happy painting. :)

Are the prices you are quoting for coloured paint or white?

I was under the impression B&Q reduced the price and gave 10% of the price difference whereas you say and got 10% off of the cheaper price not the difference in prices?

That was for the 'Gardenia', which is a sort of light cream colour. All colours were included in the FOCUS promotion though.

I'm sure he said it was a further 10% off the price matched price.

    Here the comparisons:
    15 x Cans @ £12.60 = £189.00 - B&Q Price Match + 10% Off

    15 x Cans @ £13.99 = £209.85 - FOCUS 3FOR2

    15 x Cans @ £20.99 = £314.85 - FULL PRICE (FOCUS & B&Q)

It's exterior paint and I wouldn't personally use it indoors.

Our local B&Q (Kidderminster) refused to price match - they said that price match only related to 'unit price' and not any special offers!!! We're going to write to Head Office and see what response we get......

    That's a bit inconsistent of B&Q, isn't it.

The SA I spoke to was OK from the word go (Carlisle branch). Almost like he was already aware of the offer (maybe from a previous customer).

I would write to head office too if it's gonna be worth it for you (if you need in excess of 20 tins maybe). I mean, it's a saving of £1.40 per tin over the FOCUS offer, but it would be a shame to miss the deal if you only need say 6 tins say.

If it isn't worth your while writing to HO, just get them from FOCUS and make the most of the 3FOR2 deal while it is still on. It ends this month som time I think.

Everything in life is a paradox. The more you want approval, the more you become a person that other people don't want to approve of, the less you care about whether you get approval, the more you get.:A
