in Cutting tax
just found hubbys p60 from 2005/2006.
His top line was 8412.12 and he paid 1850.20.
Ive just put this into one of the tax calulation thingys and it says hes should be due a nice lump of of tax back.
his tax code at the time was brw1.
So do i just send of his p60 with a letter asking for the money back or is there anything else i have to do?

Thats right. Just send the P60 with a covering letter requesting repayment of overpaid tax.
I'm assuming that the P60 was from the only employer he had in that year?
If not, he will need the p45 details from any other employer he worked from between April 2005 to April 2006.0 -
Take a photocopy of the P60 before you send it, just in case you never see it again !0
