Found a job to apply for but...

I had a hip replacement 6 weeks ago. I am relatively young at 52 and otherwise quite fit and feel well on the mend as now walking without crutches.
Should I apply for job or would it be too soon?
The application form asks about any past health issues so should I mention it on the form or will that mean it probably going straight in the bin?

Depends of what the job is, if it is a manual job with heavy lifting I be asking my surgeon/doctor for advice rather than this forum.
Always best to be truthful on an application form as it may come back to bite you on the bum if given the job and you didn't disclose the information.0 -
Even if it's not heavy lifting you still need to declare it. Standing for long hours or moving around a lot might require you to have extra rest periods. You can walk but can you walk without resting for 9hrs a day for example? Better check with your doc to make sure you're fit to work. At 52 it's the point where you either live a long life, or you injure yourself severely and your health keeps declining until you die early. Safety comes first. Don't chance injuring yourself.0
