My story.....

Hi there all
Since finding this site it has really helped me to get my finances on track. It always offers such great advice and people share their experiences along with postive outcomes.. So, I thought I would share my experiences with you and hope this short story may help even just one person in the same situation.
Why I got myself into debt.....
For me it was when I started working in London earning a good wage. I thought I could live the life of a millionaire, clothes, cars, going out, you name it I would buy it and waste every penny of wages and max out any credit and score cards. I had no realisation of money or respect for it and savings never entered my mind. I didn't think just how quickly it would all add up.
Lighbulb moment
It's scary when you have that lightbulb moment isn't it and you work out everything you owe, but that's the time I started to get back on track and become a debt free wannabe!
How I am getting debt free
Mainly for me, it was a change in attitude. My attitude towards money and debt. I now respect every penny and try not to buy things for the sake of it. I still have debt but I am paying things off gradually and this is now manageable debt. I have had to sacrifice and cut down on things but it's so worth it. I know get more pleasure out of saving money and seeing debt going down than spending it and by 2010 I will be debt free! Hooray...
We will all get there, some sooner than others, but I am proud to me a debt free wannabe.
Good luck all.
